Charley started practicing with a sippy cup tonight. I don't think she ever got any water unless it was by accident, but at least she knew what to do with it!

It was so warm today so Charley wore shorts for the first time. & yes, I should have ironed them for this momentous occasion.

More warm weather. More firsts. Today we stopped by Gamma & Grandaddy Park (i.e. their backyard) for Charley's first time ever swinging (by herself). She LOVED it even though we had to stuff a towel around her to keep her little body secure!

Charley and I went for a walk today and I posed her next to a pretty blooming bush for today's pictures. Can't believe how early things are blooming this year!

We went outside to take a few pictures today, and as I was adjusting my camera settings John set Charley on this bike planter we have in our backyard just being silly. (There will actually be plants in it when we plant our spring flowers.) I happened to catch this face she was giving John like "Dad, please let go. I can handle this on my own."

I met up with some ladies I "met" online today. We all had babies in September and lived within the same general area of the U.S., so we decided to meet in person and let our babies play together. We had such a good time we are planning on meeting up again!

Over the weekend, I noticed Charley pulling on her ears and made sure to ask the doctor about it on her appointment Monday. She had no infection, so then I thought she had maybe just realized they were there. Today though, my sister found Charley's first tooth had broken through her gums, and I read that pulling on ears is a symptom of teething. That explains it! She was never fussy or anything!

John and I had date night tonight with each other, and a certain 6 month old baby. We went out to eat and went to Target. Oh how times have changed. But also we picked up a movie (The Rum Diaries) on the way home.

Funny story though...(I'm uploading this 2 days later, just FYI) we were too tired to start a movie at 9:00 that night, so decided we'd watch it the next day and return in before 9:00 p.m. But after 9:00 rolled around, we were too tired that night too, so we ended up paying an extra night's rental and never even watched it. Oh well!
